Single-arch railway bridge, built c.1845, carrying Great Southern & Western Railway line to Cork over Spring Lane. Rock-faced ashlar limestone piers supporting segmental arch with rock-faced voussoirs and ashlar limestone vault to barrel. Dressed limestone impost and string course. Squared limestone parapet wall with dressed stone coping. Squared and snecked limestone abutments terminating in rock-faced limestone tapered piers with cut stone caps.

The use of rock-faced limestone in the construction of this railway bridge adds a sense of robustness, which is further accentuated by the segmental arch carried on squat piers. The contrast of the rock-faced stone with the dressed stone used in the string course, impost and abutments is eye-catching. It forms part of a group with the other structures built to serve the Great Southern & Western Railway.
