Single-arch road bridge, built c.1850, spanning former railway line. Segmental-headed arch having ashlar limestone voussoirs and roughly coursed dressed limestone soffit. Roughly coursed dressed limestone spandrels and parapets with snecked and tooled limestone block copings. Projecting dressed rubble limestone retaining walls flanking arch.

This robust road bridge was built in the mid nineteenth century in conjunction with the Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway. It is an excellent example of the high quality craftsmanship that was employed in the construction of railway buildings at the time and is a reminder of the extent of the rail network in the past.
