What is recorded here

Four-arch road bridge over Abha Bhun Sílinn [Bunsheelin River], built c.1800, with recent repairs. Rubble limestone construction with limestone voussoirs to segmental arches, and having V-cutwaters to north elevation.
This bridge exhibits fine local craftsmanship, and is a testament to the quality of late eighteenth century design. Located in Béal Átha an Ghaorthaidh [Ballingeary], it is a physical reminder of the provisions which were made to accommodate trade and communication.
