Bridge in Ballyboodin has four arches over the Goul and a little U-shaped recess at one side. Room to step out of a cart’s way while maintaining that you stopped to admire the river and weren’t beaten by a donkey.

Four-arch rubble limestone road bridge over river Goul, c. 1770, with triangular cut-waters having U-shaped recess over to one side. Reinforced, c. 1975, with concrete.
