What is recorded here

Bawn in Ballybar Upper is a ghostly circular mark in County Carlow, perhaps the buried edge of a castle bawn now hidden beneath grass and memory. The wide fosse and faint outer ridge still trace the shape of a place that once kept people, goods or secrets inside its ring. What happened within that circle has faded, but the land still holds the outline of a boundary drawn in another time.
