What is recorded here

Mud and marrow still belong to that field though grass has long since strangled the memory of knives. Men bled there until the soil drank red, then forgot them while women carried what remained home. Rage is a young flame in ancient dirt, and the dead do not mind being erased because they stopped wanting to be remembered.
