Barrow

Roughly depicted as circular area (diam. c. 18m) on 1842 OS 6-inch map; hachured as raised circular area (diam. c. 20m) on 1905 and 1937 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Raised circular area (23m N-S; 18m E-W) enclosed by shallow fosse (D 0.26m); truncated by field fence on S side. Ring-barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence indicates a local tradition of single burial monuments, common in lowland areas of Britain during the second millennium BC.
