What is recorded here

In low-lying level wet reclaimed pasture. Identified during field survey by Mark Keegan (5/11/2004). Circular area (diam. 5m) defined by an irregular shallow fosse (overall Wth 2-2.5m; Wth at base 1-1.5m; D 0.1m). The interior is level and clear of overgrowth. A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. Its presence indicates a local funerary tradition associated with early agricultural communities in the region.
