In gently undulating wet pasture. Raised circular area (diam. 10m) enclosed by a gently sloping earthen scarp (Wth 4-5m; ext. H 0.8-1.2m) and a broad external fosse (Wth at base 3m; overall Wth 4.5m; D 0.2m). The fosse is not visible at ground level NW-SW and a WNW-ESE orientated modern field drain lies along the line of the fosse NW-NE. The interior slopes slightly facing E and is clear of overgrowth. Bowl barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1500 BCE). This type of burial monument is significant as it reflects early funerary practices and social structures in prehistoric Ireland.
