Balnagown Castle, Gardens occupies a narrow strip beside the castle in Ross and Cromarty, preserving the Post Medieval shape of a residence that still commands the land. The garden may have fed the household, decorated festivals or hidden tools from casual viewers. Its exact function has faded, but the boundary between home and wild territory remains written in the earth.
