What is recorded here

Cast-iron gates and railings, erected c.1820. Comprising of pair of cast-iron piers with cast-iron double gates, flanked by rendered walls with cast-iron railings, and terminated by cast-iron piers.
These fine cast-iron gates and railings once led to Athboy Lodge, which is now demolished. Artistic design and detailing is apparent in their casting and manipulation. They contribute to the streetscape, though they now give access to a mid twentieth century school.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
