Ards Forest Park covers about 480 hectares across woodland, shore, dunes, salt marsh and lakes. Coillte records four ringfort remains, a holy well and a Mass rock within the park, tying its walking ground directly to Donegal's older settlement and religious history.
On the shore of Sheephaven Bay near Creeslough. One of the most varied forest parks in the country, with sand dunes, salt marsh, beaches, ancient oak and the ruins of a Franciscan friary in under the trees. The friars still keep a retreat house on the estate.
