Windmill in Corbally (tinnahinch By., Meelick Ed)

Windmill

What is recorded here

Corbally windmill still stands on high ground in County Laois, its 18th century frame tilted slightly against the sky like a man leaning into the wind. It was built to see far and use what the air gave freely. Perhaps it measured storms before they broke, or simply reminded people that visibility is a form of hunger.
