Wedge tomb in Burroge (loughrea By.) stands on level pastureland just south of a small stream, its chamber reaching 2.5 metres from an eastern backstone to a high western septal-stone. Field stones still fill the space where people may have laid the dead, while another wedge tomb waits 120 metres to the east-north-east. The stones have watched the pasture change from ancient ritual ground to ordinary countryside, keeping their alignment through every forgotten season.

On level pastureland, immediately to to the S of a small stream. This megalithic tomb consists of a chamber (L 2.5m; Wth 1.3m) aligned NW-SE. It is formed by a backstone at E, two sidestones at S, a single sidestone at N, and a high septal-stone at W. The chamber is filled with field stones. Wedge tomb, dating to the Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (c. 2500–1000 BCE). Its orientation and construction reflect typical characteristics of wedge tombs found in Ireland, significant as funerary monuments of early farming communities.
