Cast-iron water pump, erected c.1880, comprising banded shaft, fluted neck and dome cap with cow tail handle. Set within square-plan concrete enclosure with rendered enclosing walls.
Located on the road side, this pump once played an important social role in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, providing a communal water source. Typical of its time, it exhibits fine design detailing.
