Street furniture, dating to c.1880, comprising two cast-iron water-hydrants and vent pipe on Main Street. Vent pipe cylindrical with fluted base. Hydrants have fluted cylindrical shaft with moulded base. More intact of the two has fluted domed cap with acorn finial, second has cast-iron bucket stand but is missing its cap and now used as planter.

This cast-iron street furniture is amongst the earliest remaining features of sanitation and services facilities found in towns and villages in Ireland. The fluting of the vent pipe and the hydrants adds artistic interest, enlivening the mundane purpose of these items of street furniture.
