Freestanding cast-iron water-pump, erected c.1860, comprising fluted shaft, fluted cap with acorn finial and lion's head spout and cast-iron bucket stand to base. Now disused. Located next to court house.

It would appear that this water pump has been moved here from its original position. This cast-iron water pump makes an interesting contribution to this urban space and artistic detailing is employed with the fluted shaft, lion's head, cap and acorn finial. This functional object formerly provided an important communal water source to people of the locality.
