Cast-iron water pump, erected c.1870, with fluted shaft, raised banding to fluted cap. Acorn finial and cast-iron tap to side. Cast-iron bucket rest to front. Cast-iron lettering to side now indecipherable due to layers of paint. Water pump is set on concrete base on side of road.

This item of street furniture is still in working order, reflecting its continuing social importance within the community. Its attractive acorn finial and cast-iron details add to its character and enlivens the streetscape.
