The Civil Survey (1654-6) refers to 'an old mill uppon a little Brooke out of repaire' in 'Killurny' owned by 'Richard Butler of Kilkash Esqr Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 280). The location of this mill is unkown within the townland.
