Described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'on the lands afforesayd a Castle and a large Bawne in Dondroma wantinge repaire one small water Mill' (Simington 1934 vol. 2, 87-8). The mill was probably located in close proximity to the castle (TS052-044001-). The exact location of this monument is unknown.
