What is recorded here
Watermill depicted on Down Survey (1655-6) map has been located to Ballynavin townland. This appears to be the same watermill described in the Civil Survey (1654-6) as 'A smale water Cornemill uppon a little brooke running through the sd lands' which in 1640 was under the ownership of 'Cormuck mcEgan of Ballyknavine Gent. Conly mcEgan of Keiltiruo Gent. Irish Papists' (Simington 1934, vol.2, 287). Watermill is unlocated within Ballynavin townland.
