Situated on the W bank of a N-S stream c. 450m from where it enters the sea at Ballydowane Bay. Oak beams that were recovered during land reclamation in 1968 (Decie 1976) produced a dendrochronological date of AD 841 ± 9 (Baillie 1980). Nothing is visible at ground level.
