Cast-iron vent pipe, c.1870, with fluted base, cast-iron shaft and crown head.
These sewer vent pipes are unusual and rare in small towns in Ireland. The fluted base is similar in form to cast-iron lamp standards of this era. This sewer vent forms an interesting group with the nineteenth-century cast-iron water pumps in the town.
