A slight depression just beside a small stream probably indicates the location of the destroyed well. Tobernapearla, Eglish is associated with Saint Napearla, a lesser-known early Irish saint, and was traditionally visited for its supposed healing properties, particularly for skin ailments. The site's destruction has left only limited historical and archaeological evidence of its former religious and ritual significance.
