Tobernacannana, Skehanagh Lower is a holy well traditionally associated with Saint Cannan, a 6th-century Irish monk and founder of several monastic sites in Munster. The well is believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was historically visited as part of a pilgrimage or healing ritual involving the collection of water and the recitation of prayers.
