What is recorded here

Situated in the flat-bottomed valley of the S-N Aughnabrone stream, c. 40m from the W bank of the stream and c. 20m SE of the SE angle of the bawn of Coolnamuck tower house (WA003-008001-). It is marked similarly on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and probably served the nearby tower house. Nothing else is known of it, and the it is now occupied by a pump-house, although a stream runs N from it. Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload: 19th October, 2010.
