Freestanding single-bay single-stage Gothic-style rubble stone folly, c.1800, on a circular plan. Now derelict. Roof now gone. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar, and possibly with remains of battlemented parapet over. Pointed-arch window openings with no sills, and no fittings remaining. Set back from road in grounds originally shared with Coolnamuck Court.

An appealing, small-scale building of some Romantic appearance, a quality enhanced by its present derelict condition, which forms a subtle feature in the landscape. The folly is of additional importance as evidence of the development of the Coolnamuck Court estate by the Wall family in the late eighteenth/early nineteenth centuries, and remains one of the few surviving fragments of that estate following the loss of the house in the twentieth century.
