Pedimented triple-arch random coursed stone entrance gate, erected c.1780, affording access to Cootehall House. Round-arched vehicular opening set within open-bed pediment. Round-arched pedestrian openings to either side, surmounted by saw-tooth string courses. Cast-iron gates inserted to blocked-up pedestrian entrances.

This fine gate marks the entrance to an avenue leading to Cootehall. Despite a patina of age, the pedimented structure remains attractive. Its handsomely-designed symmetrical form gives it a pleasing character.
