Templeshenane, a burial ground in County Offaly, has vanished so completely that no surface trace remains. The 1838 map marked it as a Burying Ground, and the name Teampull Sheanain points to St Senan's Church. What is left is a hole in the landscape where a sacred place once stood.

No surface trace visible of church (OF026-036001-) or burial ground. Marked on 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a 'Burying Ground' and described in the OS Field Name Books as 'Templeshenan', which is derived from Teampull Sheanain (St Senan's Church) and described as 'These are the remains of an old church and burying ground (OSFNB 1837-40, vol. 1, 61). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
