Structure

A deposit of light brushwood and a possible peg (L 0.11m min.; Wth 1.19m; D 0.25m). Overall, the elements are widely spaced, irregularly laid and up to two pieces deep. A number of pieces, however, are parallel with some pieces set at right angles. The possible peg (diam. 0.012m), is positioned towards the centre of the deposit and is set at 85°. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with some Calluna. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
