Structure

A deposit (Wth 0.52m; D 0.28m. of light brushwood, two possible stakes and occasional twigs. The elements are dispersed, irregularly laid and up to three pieces deep. The stakes (diam. 0.015-0.02m) are located at the SW extent of the site in near vertical positions. The site lies in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
