What is recorded here

Three radially split timbers (L 1.06m min.; Wth 0.3m; D 0.08m) orientated E-W. The timbers (av. Wth 0.1m; av. D 0.05m) are closely spaced and one timber has a chisel point at one end. The site lies in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing fibrous roots and Eriophorum. SMR OF010-273---- is 0.2m below this site. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
