Structure

Fourteen pieces of light brushwood and occasional twigs (Wth 0.89m; D 0.29m). They are irregularly laid, closely spaced and up to five pieces deep. A degraded chisel point is evident on one piece and another piece may have been deliberately split. The site lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Calluna. There is a single piece of brushwood in the vicinity. SMR OF010-247---- is 1.2m to the S. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2001. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
