What is recorded here

A regular deposit of brushwood (L 2.63m min.; Wth 2.74m; D 0.07m). The brushwood (diam. 0.023-0.046m) is set parallel 0.02-0.15m apart, orientated NW-SE. A single, degraded, worked end was noted and the wood is in poor condition. Machine damage has removed the centre of the site. It is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with natural wood and some Eriophorum in the S area. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
