In rough heather-covered, rock-strewn boggy pasture, located on top of a ridge. Listed in the RMP (1997) as a possible hut site based on a circular feature visible in an aerial photograph (OS 5 6851 -2; Roll 217, pr. 17). Field inspection determined that the feature consists of a circular, sunken area (int. diam. 1.6m; D 0.8m) defined by sod-covered remnants of a stone-built wall (Wth 0.6-0.7m; ext. H 0.25m). It appears to be a ruined limekiln of the 19th or 20th century, probably associated with the cultivation ridges which are visible in the fields immediately to NW and S.
