Stone head in Warrenstown (deece Lower By.)

Two stone heads that had adorned St John’s holy Well (ME037-028001-) area still preserved at the location, set into the ground. Probably dating to the early Christian or medieval period, these stone heads may have originally served a ritual or commemorative function associated with the holy well. Such carvings are sometimes linked to local saints, territorial markers, or protective folklore.
