What is recorded here

Kilcatherine graveyard holds a rough Latin cross carved from a single upright stone, its squat arms reaching barely fifteen centimetres before tapering to an uneven point. The marker stands just south-east of the ruined church, witnessing the quiet continuity of faith in West Cork. Its imperfect shape suggests a local carver working quickly or honestly, capturing the essence of the symbol rather than pretending to master fine detail.
