What is recorded here

Pair of flights of dressed and tooled limestone steps, c. 1820, those to east curving around corner with curved cut limestone plinth wall having dressed and tooled limestone coping.
These steps form a group with the other interesting elements of street furniture in Fermoy, the retaining walls and steps. Theses features arise from Fermoy's location in and around the Blackwater valley, which leads to the many steeply-inclined streets. They are well crafted and the tooled and dressed limestone is unusual in such street features and the curved plan of those to the west and diminishing lengths of those to the east show an attention to detail and design in their construction.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
