Standing stones once circled the NE plateau of Tallaght Hill, but no visible remains survive there now. Further south, irregular granite boulders scattered without obvious pattern are still called Horan's Stones after Malachy Horan, a long-gone local resident. The vanished circle and the stubborn stones leave a gap the mind fills with ghosts, games or forgotten ceremony.

Situated on a natural plateau on the NE side of Tallaght Hill which is in rough upland pasture. A stone circle indicated on the 1843 OS 6-inch map. There are no visible remains of the site. Further S are a number of irregular granite boulders in no apparent pattern. These stones are locally referred to as 'Horan's Stones', after Malachy Horan who was a resident of the area many years ago (Healy 1975, 1-19).
