What is recorded here

O'Mahony saw three stones in 1909, but only two remain. They still point NNE-SSW across the pasture shoulder, 1.45m apart, while the missing third has vanished into legend or landfill. The larger SW stone holds its height at 1.57m; the smaller NE stone leans outward as if listening downstream. Whatever the pair marked has gone, the alignment remains, cutting a straight line through grass and time.

In rough pasture, on shoulder of S-facing slope on N side of Lee River valley. Stones, aligned NNE-SSW, stand 1.45m apart; overall length is 3.2m. NE stone leans to NE; it is 0.65m L, 0.25m T and, if erect, 1.55m H. SW stone is 0.95m L, 0.6m T and 1.57m H. These may be stones recorded by O'Mahony (1909, 213) as 'three dallauns in line standing at short distances from each other, two of them were about four feet high, and the third but about one foot'.
