Rossbrin holds a white rectangular stone fallen across rough pasture, overlooking Roaring Water Bay. It may have stood before time or memory, marking a boundary, a burial or a warning to sailors. Lichen has swallowed every face except one, as if the rock still refuses to disappear completely.

In rough pasture, near the S edge of an E-W ridge overlooking Roaring Water Bay and its islands. This possible standing stone (0.65m x 0.45m; H 0.9m) is roughly rectangular in plan and section and lies prostrate on the ground on a NW-SE orientation. It is known locally as the 'White Rock'. Apart from the SW face, all of the other faces and sides of this possible standing stone are covered in lichen. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
