Off shore island located 0.5km W of Rossbrin Cove, to S of Ballydehob village. Intermittent copper mining 1814-1901 saw exploration of "Danes Works" and "Danes Lodes"; reported discovery of wooden implements of unknown date. No extant primitive workings or stone mauls. (O'Brien 1987)
