Megalithic stands include wedge tomb, chambered tomb and passage tomb. Standing stone in Rathaneague joins that company on a Cork terrace. The rectangular stone leans west like a tired sentry, framing northern sky above pasture. Nearby ringfort and wedge tomb suggest the land has long marked time, boundary or memory in stone.
