What is recorded here
Nadanuller Beg once held a standing stone on P. Lyon's land, but it was broken and removed before modern memory reached it. Whatever the stone marked or resisted is gone, leaving only the absence where something tall once stood.
Bowman (1934, 249) recorded standing stone on P. Lyon's land; 'This was broken and removed many years ago'. Exact location not known.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
