Triple-arch road bridge with overflow arch, over Rathcool River, built c. 1810. Rubble sandstone walls with buttresses to south wall. Rendered copings and recent limestone plaque to south parapet wall. Cut sandstone voussoirs to round arches. Rubble sandstone voussoirs to overflow arch. Ashlar sandstone to V-cutwaters.

This substantial road bridge is a testament to the skills and craft of nineteenth-century engineers and masons. Textural interest is provided by the contrast between the cut voussoirs and the rubble stone walls of this bridge. The generously sized round arches, ashlar cutwaters and bend in the road add interest to the surrounding landscape.
