O’Hare’s Field in County Louth held a tall granite marker until about 2020, when it fell onto the south-facing slope. It may have marked a boundary, a burial or a route, but no clear human purpose survives. The stone still occupies the field, reduced from a vertical witness to a broken length of rock.

Located towards the bottom of a S-facing slope in a field known as O’Hare’s Field. What is probably a granite stone (dims 0.45m x c. 0.25m; L 1.7m) that was standing upright until c. 2020 is now lying prone Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 3 February 2023
