Standing stone in Drumshallon: a large shale slab, 2.3m high, set on the lower slope of Carnanbreaga ridge in County Louth. It faces east-west like a door left open, waiting for someone to remember why it was placed there.

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Situated on lower S slope of broad E-W ridge called 'Carnanbreaga'. Large slab of shale (max. dims. H 2.3m, 1.3m by 0.2m in section) orientated E-W.
