What is recorded here

Derreenataggart Middle holds a rectangular standing stone twenty-five centimetres wide and two and a half metres tall, aligned east to west on a south-facing pasture slope. Macalister saw marks and flaws on its angle that may have been an erased inscription, suggesting the stone once spoke before losing its words. It still stands in ordinary daylight, waiting for someone patient enough to read what the rain has already taken.

In pasture on S-facing slope. Rectangular stone (H 2.5m; 0.25m x 0.18m) aligned E-W. Macalister noticed "certain marks and flaws" on angle of stone which he thought may have been traces of an erased inscription.
