What is recorded here

Killeenagh Burial Gd (Infants) occupies a roughly circular patch of pasture in County Cork, marked by overgrowth and scattered grave markers. The site belongs to the oldest kind of human honesty: love shown through loss, memory kept through soil, and grief made visible in the landscape. Even without a named story, the place still speaks because it preserves the fact that life was lived, loved, and remembered there.
In pasture. Roughly circular area (diam. 8m) defined by overgrowth. Some grave markers noted. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
