Derreenataggart Middle holds a rectangular standing stone, one point five five metres tall and aligned northwest to southeast on a west-facing pasture slope. Its thin profile catches little wind but much attention, forcing whoever passes to measure the distance between themselves and the stone before deciding whether to nod, leave an offering, or walk on. The field gives no warning about what the stone remembers, only that it has stood long enough to become certain of its own shape.
